Konferencja BioForum 2017 - Central European Forum of Biotechnology

Środkowoeuropejskie Targi Biotechnologii i Biobiznesu – BioForum, to największe wydarzenie biotechnologiczne w Europie Środkowej, organizowane przez naszą firmę.  Głównym celem tej imprezy jest wspieranie rozwoju innowacyjnych małych i średnich firm z sektora life sciences funkcjonujących w Europie Środkowej i Wschodniej (EŚW).  Jest ona organizowana w ścisłej współpracy m.in. z CzechBio i Hungarian Biotech Association oraz Polish Biotech Association – organizacjami skupiającymi firmy biotechnologiczne w Czechach, na Węgrzech i w Polsce.

Początki organizacji tej imprezy sięgają roku 2000. Od tego czasu następuje jej dynamiczny rozwój, zarówno pod względem liczby uczestników jak i jej zasięgu. W dziesiątą rocznicę jej istnienia (2010 r.) odnotowaliśmy ponad 1500 uczestników z 20 krajów i ponad 100 wystawców.

BioForum adresowane jest również do tej części środowiska naukowego, która realizuje biotechnologiczne projekty badawczo-rozwojowe i jest zainteresowana ich komercjalizacją. Ważnymi uczestnikami są również studenci, zwłaszcza studiów doktoranckich, przyszli pracownicy i twórcy rozwoju sektora biotechnologicznego.

BioForum organizowane jest na dwóch poziomach:

• Część otwarta dla wszystkich zarejestrowanych uczestników tej imprezy, która składa się z wykładów, seminariów i wystawy, na której są prezentowane firmy z sektora biotechnologii i zespoły naukowe.
• Część zamknięta – są to spotkania biopartneringowe i ściśle dedykowane seminaria tematyczne. W tej części BioForum biorą udział tzw. aktywni uczestnicy tej imprezy. Ma ona charakter ściśle biznesowy.

Począwszy od 2011 roku, BioForum organizowane jest naprzemiennie w Polsce (Łódź, Wrocław), Czechach (Brno, Praga) i na Węgrzech (Budapeszt).

BioForum is the most important international event concerning life sciences in the region of Central Europe. It is a chance to present Yourself, Your company or to get new contacts and knowledge about life science trends.

This year we organize the 16th edition. We are focused on cooperation, not only between the countries in Central Europe but also between Central Europe and USA.

In this year’s edition You can hear more about CRISPR/Cas9 technology, using BigData in clinical tests and new drugs discovering, or You can also see good sites of telemedicine! Hear hour lectures, do not stay behind!
• ELEVATOR SPEECH Something for scientists The scientists have a unique occasion to present their projects and teams. You can find out what scientists are doing in theirs labs, meet scientific partners or a team that is suited to You and try to work together. Maybe You are a scientist? If You are doing innovative research with commercial potential don’t wait, show us your work!
• MASTER OF INNOVATION which start-up is the best? How does the contest work? During 5 min. presentation the start-ups leaders will speak about their companies or projects. Next, experts in the field of commercialization and entrepreneurship will ask questions. From all of the start-ups just the one – the most innovative project – will win a competition.
• B2B MEETINGS face to face sessions Talk about Your idea, or see other people’s ideas. Meet new business partners, start a cooperation. The B2B meetings are in a separated places so that You can talk in peace. That gives You a chance for a constructive, professional conversation.
• USA –CE FORUM building the business bridge The Central Europe is now a good market for the sales of American products. But what if Europe will start to cooperate with America in developing innovations? What if we start working together? What if both sites show the desire to create new, better and innovative products here – in Central Europe? We all hope that it will bring benefits to each site. To start this change we organized a seminar at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, USA. During this meeting we promoted the attractiveness of Poland, Hungary and other CE countries. We talked about creating a new world of life science together.
